Schadenfreudemetertest
Can human morbidity be measured?
The schandefreudemetertest is a test that takes place thanks to the help of a machine consisting of six screens, an eye-tracker and a printer. The aim of the test is to make people think about morbidity, in its multiple emotional and social implications. The volunteer rests his chin on a special support and observes a series of videos on the screens, one of which concerning the death of one or more human beings. If the attention lingers long enough on the violent video, another screen will start showing more violent videos and so on. The eye-tracker records the shifts of attention and returns a printed report with an explanatory graph and some data.
