Tuscany in a washbasin

Borghi, the new freestanding washbasin by antoniolupi, born from a valuable collaboration between the company and Gumdesign, is the embodiment of many meaningful messages: sustainability, elegance of materials and balance of proportions; a sophisticated relationship between volumes; and, finally, the story behind the project, expressed in the chromatic range reminiscent of the twilight sky, ripening ripe before the harvest, and the foliage of ancient olive trees. The project is developed through materials contrasts: cork and Cristalmood, two very diverse and sustainable materials. The base is constructed with reclaimed cork, a natural material recomposed with the sole use of resins: a light, flexible, strong material, recycled and also 100% recyclable.  Cristalmood, the material from which the sink is made, is a transparent, colourable and strong resin specially developed by antoniolupi: a durable industrial product that can be restored and recycled.

Idealising the atmospheres of Tuscany inspired the extension of the range of the Cristalmood colours to include three new shades: Ceruleo, Oleo and Gran Cru. In addition to the natural cork version, the base is available in a toasted cork version, with a dark brown, coffee effect.
