The Brescia-based gallery presents its first online exhibition aimed at investigating the potential of digital through pieces that straddle the line between art and design.
APALAZZOGALLERY, a well-known contemporary art gallery in Brescia in the sixteenth-century palazzo Cigola Fenaroli, whose vocation is to create a dialogue between the artistic spirit and a historical environment while promoting high-level art, presents Design at A Palazzo. Design at A Palazzo is the first in a series of online exhibitions of contemporary design featuring a selection of objects, lighting and furniture.
The entirely digital exhibition promotes and celebrates the creative spirit of international talents who bring together classic and contemporary design: first of all Nigel Coates and George Sowden, but also Attua Aparicio, Paolo Gonzato, Jochen Holz, John Maybury, Muller Van Severen, Studiomama, Studio Irvine, Jerszy Seymour, Larry Stanton and Nathalie du Pasquier.
Blurring the traditional line between art and design, the works presented in Design at A Palazzo are made using traditional craft techniques. All exhibits are also available online for purchase.
The exhibition is curated by Elisabetta Buonaiuto, independent art consultant and founder of The Art and Design Group, consulting agency that works with artists and designers to create exclusive art and design pieces.
