Swiss Design Map Milano
The comunication iniative Swiss Design Map Milano is open to all Swiss actors in the Design sector and represents a wonderful overview of all Swiss activities during the Design Week. The Map has been published for the first time in 2017 under the lead of the Consulate general of Switzerland in Milano. The strategy is simple; all Swiss activities on one map, showing more than 40 appointments of schools, corporates, designers and trendsetters. The result is an excellent example of succesfull public-private partnership, whereas the majority of funding has been done by the private sector. Among the participants we also find Switzerland Global Enterprise, Switzerland Tourism, Pro Helvetia and l'Istituto Svizzero. Furthermore, the City of Milan has gladly offered their patronage.
In 2020 a unique digital version of the map has been elaborated and will be launched in 2021. This means, that instead of the good old paper version of the map, a smart MApp will be available and guide the visitor through the city.
Another piece-de-resistance is the yearly Design Brunch during the Design Week, where Swiss and International protagonist gather for the latest trends.
