In between the projects I was working on for the Fuorisalone, there are some that we decided to carry on or locally or in September or that we decided to transform into something bigger.
In particular we’ll be acting local with the Berlin Glas glass workshop that since 2010 in Berlin works to built a local social and ethic community around glass. They were supposed to present at Alcova the project Analog’s Of Movement and Material, second collection of blowed lights, through the installation Tacit Dalogues by artist Andrea Familiari: a digital dialogue in between the craftsmen’s dance of blowing and the final output of the light.
Another pretty actual project is A Flame for Research: a non profit action for the Istituto Mario Negri I ‘m curating for Mingardo, under the artistic direction of Federica Biasi and thank to Christie’s Italia. The project, coming from a personal story of the young owner Daniele Mingardo, will now present in September the works by ten international designers to fight cancer and support research.
Last but not least. Misschiefs. The project by Paola Bjaringer presented last February in Stockholm 10 swedish punk female artist and designer. It should have landed after at Assab One with me as guest curator and Nelcya Chamszadeh as selected artist but will finally gets there in 2021. In the meantime we become more brave and we transformed it into Misschiefs TAKEOVER a direct response to Cover crisis is a program for women artists that gives an immediate relief. A physical takeover of an actual place that is offered as free art studio to chosen women designers and artists.
