A Journey into the Masiero DIMORE collections
Dimore Masiero catalogue is enriched by two wonderful lighting families: Horo, minimal and essential collection with a hint of vintage taste, designed by the French Pierre Gonalons and Vegas, created by Marc Sadler, who plays with glass and metal creating real sculptures of light.
Taking inspiration from the vintage style, Horo by Masiero is a surprising new collection of ceiling, wall, table and floor lamps with diffuser composed of glass disks and brushed brass structure. Starting from the stylization of the circular shape of the sun and inspired by icons related to the sun, such as the god Ra, the designer Gonalons interpreted in a new way a classic geometric shape. Horo is characterized by an elegant and modern design, with vintage finishes.
A metal profile with a brushed brass finish as a frame for two prismatic glass circles with a sandwich construction. A LED strip runs inside the profile to illuminate the disks like a sun. To increase the lighting capacity, a second light source has been inserted, inside a smaller brushed brass circle perpendicular to the main shape. The design of Horo provides two particularly important materials for MASIERO: glass and metal. The company has extensive experience and a solid foundation of skills in metalworking. Glass is an iconic material that is historically linked to nearby Venice and also very refined in lighting field.
The range is divided into ceiling, table, floor and wall lamp, available in different colors of the glass diffusers: transparent, green, pink, light blue and smoked.
Horo is an extraordinary collection that fits very well in both domestic and commercial spaces.
Vegas by Marc Sadler is an opulent and chic "Classic Timeless" collection in which the combination of metal in a delicate champagne leaf color with rock effect glass strips creates real illuminating sculptures. The Vegas collection is available in suspensions and wall lamps, single or multiple, changing in shape, size, vertically or horizontally and has been influenced by the sculptural elements, inspired by every era and style, which characterize the city of light, temple of fun and entertainment. Just like the Las Vegas totems, the Vegas compositions are real glass light sculptures, which embellish residential interior projects and furnish large contract spaces as luminous works.
Rows of clear glass strips are perfectly settled and fixed around a metal structure. Every single strip of glass is completely unique. The "rock" effect is created using a special process that deliberately deforms the pieces of glass through heat, creating air bubbles trapped inside it. All the strips are different from each other, giving the glass an emotional charm that refers to the craftsmanship of the great glass masters. The creation of invisible eyelets and an ultraviolet gluing process allows the glass strips to be kept in position without the need for holes or the use of visible screws.
The lighting comes from LED strips that follow the frame and are protected by plexiglass. Experimentation and commitment to the concept of design have allowed us to develop this collection in a series of very refined shapes. This makes the range extremely versatile for use in commercial and residential environments.
Its strength as a collection lies in the range of individual shapes, which allow the creation of unique luminous compositions. The scale and variety make Vegas perfect for large sculptural installations that will easily become the focal point of any space.
In the 2020 Dimore catalogue the color palette of some best-selling families such as Nappe, Sound and Papilio has been updated, following the trends of the moment.
Nappe ceiling collection (designed by Marco Zito in 2018) is available in a new combination of warm tones - Jaipur red, chocolate and concrete gray - and in a total matt black. These two new variants are added to the previous color mix - white, sand, light blue and dark gray - and total white. The range consists of 10 different single suspensions, which can be used alone or in combos, wall lamps and 3 variants in XL.
For the iconic Papilio, (design Armando Bruno and Alberto Torres, 2019), the embossed white variant has been added to the four previous colors. The range consists of suspensions, table lamp, floor and wall lamps, both large and small.
In the elegant Sound family (design Giovanni Battista Gianola, 2017), the bicolor version is added to the original and brilliant brushed gold finish, which combines brushed brass inside with matte black outside.
