NikolaTesla Switch

Switch is the aspiration hob by Elica created to revolutionise the daily cooking experience and turn the idea of the kitchen on its head. 

Induction and aspiration are combined in a single product where scrupulous attention to detail, innovative features and unique performance create a perfect balance between modern style and high performance. The hob cleverly conceals a powerful extraction system, and the fully flat surface guarantees freedom of movement with pots and pans, while maintaining the advantage of easy cleaning associated with traditional induction hobs. 

Simply turn the innovative flap to activate the NikolaTesla Switch extractor and unleash all its power for total air control in the ultimate expression of technology and design.  Its ability to capture smoke is surprisingly higher than the speed at which it rises. The system offers high efficiency and minimum sound, with noise levels of only 60 dBA and an A+ energy class. 

Thanks to the AIRMATIC function employing a system of intelligent sensors, NikolaTesla Switch can distinguish between smoke quality and cooking type, and combine this information with the number and power of induction zones used. The product is fully automatic: it selects the most suitable extraction power, adjusting the speed and gradually decreasing speed to eliminate residual steam and odours when the hob is switched off.  

The control interface is intuitive and easy to use thanks to 5 Touch controls, one for extraction and one for each of the 4 cooking zones. Totally invisible in standby mode, it is an extremely aesthetically linear product. 

NikolaTesla Switch offers four cooking zones with the latest generation of induction systems and is equipped with a DOUBLE BRIDGE ZONE that allows two adjacent zones to work in combination so as not to compromise the uniformity of food cooking even when using large pots. 

The surfaces of the new range of Elica aspiration hobs are designed for easy cleaning, with all the elements created to be flush mount. Filters can be removed from the top, making maintenance extremely easy. In the filter version, Elica provides access to the LONG LIFE HIGH PERFRORMANCE FILTERS on the upper part of the hob thanks to a glass cover that blends in with the aesthetics. This patented filter system is suitable for the most challenging cooking, given its high capacity to reduce odours. The new Elica technology can reach filtration thresholds higher than 80% compared to the market average of 60%. The system can be regenerated for up to 5 years.  

NikolaTesla Switch ensures a completely safe cooking experience: liquid accidentally falling into the extraction nozzle is no problem: a special internal valve allows the discharge of any spillage to ensure maximum hygiene for your kitchen. 

NikolaTesla Switch is available in classic black ceramic glass combined with cast iron detail, and in the more refined white ceramic glass combined with polished steel. The central flap allows 360° rotation with double aesthetic finish, glass on one side and cast iron or steel on the other. The product is available in both filter and aspiration versions.
