Designers Andrea Boito

Andrea co-funded Boito Sarno Architects in London, after having completed complex residential, education and retail projects working for British and Italian award-winning practices. Boito Sarno’s portfolio currently includes high quality residential projects in central London in conservation areas and listed properties, from planning to completion. The studio has also designed community and educational projects in Czech Republic, Peru and Mozambique and recently won a competition for a Kindergarten in Ghana. With Sir Michael Hopkins, he delivered the RIBA National Award winning music school for King's College School in Wimbledon, a highly crafted building where he achieved exceptional quality of detailing by working closely on site with the contractor. With Renzo Piano, he worked on the former Falck steel factory site in Milan. Other projects include a large office refurbishment and residential schemes, an exhibition hall for Padua University observatory, retail projects for Apple in Rome and Florence. He moved to the UK in 2011. He graduated in Architecture at Milan Polytechnic University having previously completed a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Padua. He also holds a PhD from the University of Bologna, with a thesis on social housing and urban densification in Milan, London and São Paulo. He has taught architecture and urbanism at the university of Padua.
