Designers Migliore+Servetto Architects

Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto, three-time Compasso d’Oro Award winning architects and co-founders of Migliore+Servtto Architects, design identity and communication spaces for companies and cultural institutions. Their works are characterized by the expressive use of light and new technologies, and range from interior architecture to retail, museums to installations, urban design to visual identity and multimedia. Among the recent projects are numbered: the Italian Pavilion “4 Elements Taking Care” at the XXII International Triennale Exhibition of Milan “Broken Nature: Design takes on Human Survival”, of which Ico Migliore was art director and co-curator; the exhibition “Leonardo and the Litta Madonna” at Museo Poldi Pezzo in Milan; the permanent lighting installation “α-cromactive” within the bioclimatic greenhouse on the 35th floor of Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin; the exhibition “B&BItalia/The perfect density” for the 50th anniversary of B&B Italia at the Triennale of Milan, which has become a permanent exhibition at the company's historical headquarters in the North of Italy; the new format store and the headquarters for dmail (Percassi Group) and the new Mondadori stores in Italy. They designed the Chopin Museum in Warsaw and the Museum of Natural History of Milan. In addition, they are currently working on the permanent exhibition of the new ADI Design Museum in Milan with Italo Lupi. Ico Migliore is Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano and Chair Professor at Dongseo University in Busan, while Mara Servetto is Visiting Professor at Joshibi University in Tokyo. Among the several books developed over the years, they recently launched, with the Korean publishing company A&C Publishing Co., Ltd., the book “Drawings by Ico Migliore. Sketches, maps and scenery” on the designing vision of the studio seen through the means of Ico Migliore’s graphic sign. In Italy the Franco Angeli Publishing House released the book “Time to Exhibit” written by Ico Migliore and exploring the new scenarios of the exhibition design.
