Brands Mesh

We are Mesh. A multidisciplinary design studio founded by designer and researcher Shonali Shetty. Our design philosophy revolves around the idea of meshing i.e. bringing together different worlds through a common narrative. We tend to agree with the eco philosopher 'Timothy Morton' that the biggest mistake we have made as humanity is to seperate culture and nature. We aim to bring these two worlds together for all beings and non beings that collectively occupy a space. Culture is integral to our design process. We tend to take a norm critical approach. Diving into the depths of cultural norms and values we arrive at narratives that challenge the status quo. Nature on the other hand inspires us to think beyond humans and focus on a more than human design approach. Prioritising the needs of our co-habitants be that plants, fungi, microalgae or objects with who we share our common space.
